Play/Pause controls progression; Skip move completes the displayed animation and Skip group advances past the current action or phase effect. Left-drag to pan, right-drag to orbit and scroll to zoom toward the pointer. Refocus restores the current step; Whole table shows all zones. Choose a role perspective to inspect private hands and Objectives. Hover highlighted terms for definitions, click to pin them, and search the glossary or component guide. Escape closes references.

How to play Nemesis: Retaliation

The objective

Survive and satisfy your retained Objective. In this semi-cooperative game the shared Mission Task matters to some objectives, while other private goals can conflict with it. Escape alone does not establish victory: Infection, Eclosion and the final Objective check can still change the result.

How a turn works

Players take turns clockwise, normally resolving two Actions and then Oxygen loss and Fire damage, until everyone has Passed. The round then resolves Intruder burning and attacks, the Event phase and bag Development, followed by Cleanup. Cards pay for basic Actions or supply their own chosen printed effect; paying a card does not activate its effect.

The ending and this tutorial

This original four-player mission uses standard difficulty, Primebloods and the Primary Samples Mission Task. It follows nine rounds and all 72 turns through escape and the real endgame checks, with fictional players Mara, Nia, Tomas and Ivo. The route has fixed recorded outcomes and commentary; suggested alternatives do not generate another game.

Current publisher base rules and official FAQ v1.2

The English publisher rulebook, official FAQ v1.2 dated 8 June 2026, and Rooms and Objectives Help Sheets were checked on 30 September 2026.
